Jeheudi is a father, educator, clinician,  scientist, and author who advocates diligently for children and adolescents with neurological and neurodevelopmental disorders. He seeks to strengthen children, families, communities, and workplaces. He is an advocate for neurobehavioral health and an expert in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Learning disabilities and in the development of evidence-based prevention, as well as brain-based intervention strategies that foster it.​Trained in both School Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology, Dr. Vuai is licensed and certified and maintains a private practice in Pediatric School Neuropsychology in Miami, FL. He is a consulting School Neuropsychologist and Vendor to the Miami-Dade Public Schools, Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, Children's Medical Services, Office of Child Find. He is a Lead Analyst in Applied Behavioral Analyst (ABA) for children with severe neurobehavioral and developmental disorders. ​Dr. Vuai is former Diplomate in School Neuropsychology from the American Board of School Neuropsychology. He is member of the American Psychological Association Division 16-School Psychology and Division 40- Academy of Neuropsychology. He is a member of Florida Applied Behavior Analyst Association (FABA) and the Florida Biofeedback Society (FBS). He is currently adjunct professor of Psychology and Behavioral Neuroscience in the School of Arts and Sciences, Department of Psychology at Florida Memorial University. He is former adjunct professor of Psychology and School Psychology and Counseling at Barry University. He has taught at other colleges and universities in the departments of special education, psychology and counseling.​Dr. Vuai is author of "Gray Matter Matters: Reflections on Child Brain Injury and Erroneous Educational Practices" (2012).  He provides scientific evidence through case studies that children with emotional and learning difficulties are those with underlying neurological problems. Dr. Vuai published his second book entitled "Misbehaving Brains: Essays on Good Children Who Do Bad Things in Schools" (2016). In this book, he discusses at length children who experienced punitive measures (e.g., suspended, expelled or given poor grades) due to social emotional difficulties that were brain-based. He challenges the "emotional disturbed" myth by explaining how brain dysfunction and damage are causative to emotional difficulties. It is a commonly held belief. among educators that children with emotional and behavioral difficulties are those who come from impoverished environments.​Dr. Vuai provides individual, group and family counseling to address emotional, behavioral, academic and mental health problems in children, adolescents and young adults.  Having served in residential treatment facilities, juvenile detention centers, medical, school and out patient clinics, he is duly adept at providing instruction to a wide range of community stake holders, educators, clinicians and legal professionals. ​Dr. Vuai received his Doctoral degree in Education with special concentration in Early and Middle Childhood from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, FL. He completed Post Graduate Studies in School Psychology from Rider University, Lawrenceville, NJ and Post Doctoral studies in Clinical Neuropsychology from Fielding Graduate University, Santa Barbara, CA. He received training from renowned neuroscientists at New York University School of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, MD. He has completed extensive training in EEG/Neurofeedback from the Stens Corporation that provides clinical training in psychophysiology for clinicians and researchers.​Born in New Jersey, Dr. Vuai has not forgotten his African roots He shares ancestral heritage with the people of Sierra Leone and the Central African Republic.  Today, he lives in Florida.
